A partnership based on high standards
Brand protection and risk control is one of ISS’s key value propositions. With clear focus on our customers’ needs, ISS operates a strategic supplier strategy and fully integrated global supply chain according to principles of good corporate governance.
Ensuring a strong, transparent supply chain
We act as a good corporate citizen in all societies where we operate, and we expect our suppliers to do the same. Our aim is to provide a transparent supply chain and assured adherence to the highest ethical standards as expressed in the ISS Supplier Code of Conduct.
ISS ProcurePASS
ISS ProcurePASS is a common, transparent solution for supplier compliance and approval across the countries ISS operates in. A supply chain risk management web platform, ProcurePASS directly supports our customers’ growing needs and enhances our valuable supplier relationships, compliance and quality standards.
ISS Supplier Sustainability Engagement Programme for Climate Action
ISS is continuously strengthening collaboration with suppliers to support its Net Zero ambition, increase value chain transparency, and create sustainable value for customers. In 2026, the programme covers suppliers responsible for approximately 50% of ISS's Scope 3.1 emissions, up from around 40% in previous years.
ISS expects suppliers in scope to adopt Science Based Targets, report through CDP, cascade sustainability requirements across their supply chains, increase renewable energy use, and improve product-level carbon transparency. ISS aims to reach 32% of global spend with suppliers that have approved SBTi targets by the end of 2026 and remains on track, with 25.5% achieved as of Q1 2026 and a further 3.9% committed to obtaining SBTi validation.
To support these expectations, sustainability is embedded into ISS sourcing and supplier management processes through a 20% sustainability weighting in tender evaluations and contractual requirements included in the ISS Supplier Code of Conduct.
Since launching the programme in 2024, ISS has implemented annual sustainability surveys, supplier gap-closing plans, and targeted capability-building activities. Across the 2024–2025 survey cycles, supplier response rates reached 87%, while 64% of suppliers participated in live training sessions in 2025.
Key developments in 2026 include:
-
Digitalisation of supplier engagement
ISS is transitioning from manual survey management to a structured, system-based process integrated with ProcurePASS supplier vetting and onboarding. This will improve automation, data quality, scalability, and supplier progress tracking.
-
Launch of the first ISS Supplier Net Zero Event
The event brought together 125 supplier representatives and focused on how sustainability can create business value through decarbonisation, innovation, resilience, and sustainable solutions. Speakers from ISS commercial teams, category management, and leading suppliers highlighted the importance of collaboration across the value chain.
In recognition of ISS efforts, ISS achieved CDP Supplier Engagement Leader status with an A rating for 2025.
