ISS North America announces talent development partnership with Genesys Works

ISS North America, a leading facilities management and employee experience partner representing ISS A/S in the United States and Canada, has entered into a partnership with Genesys Works, a national workforce development program that connects students from underserved communities to paid internships with major companies. ISS Group Chief Commercial Officer and Americas Region CEO Dan Ryan has joined Genesys Works’ board of directors.
The Genesys Works program empowers high school students through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships. The organization’s goal – to expand access to career pathways for youth from underserved communities while simultaneously building a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive workforce – is a natural fit with the ISS diversity and inclusion vision. The program will help ISS recruit trained interns for nine- to 12-month assignments in the North America business units and support functions.
ISS is deeply committed to the transformation to a more resilient and just international community. In North America and around the world, we are strengthened by a diverse workforce in terms of ethnicity, race, age, gender, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, language, cultural and educational background. We look to lead our industry by example, aiming to positively influence the markets where we operate. We are proud of our ethical approach to people, planet and profit.
Dan Ryan, CEO, ISS Americas Region, commented: “I am thrilled to join the board of Genesys Works. The areas they currently serve, such as the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington, D.C., Houston, Chicago, Minneapolis–St. Paul and New York City are important markets for ISS, so we are excited to add Genesys Works interns to our talent pipeline. We welcome the opportunity to develop future leaders and bring new energy to fulfilling our purpose of connecting people and places to make the world work better.”
Jeffrey Artis, CEO, Genesys Works, commented: “Our partnership with ISS is an important step forward in expanding the necessary work of creating more career development opportunities for young people that bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. Our program is designed to create real sustainable change in the lives of students, their families, communities, companies and society at large, and we are glad ISS has joined us on this journey.”
