Collaborating for a Cause

When wildfires swept through parts of Los Angeles in early 2025, they left a trail of devastation. Food can be a source of comfort, a way to foster connection, and a symbol of hope and resilience in moments of crisis like this, so ISS and its culinary services division, Guckenheimer, collaborated with the ArtCenter College of Design to host a purpose-driven fundraiser to help re-build and restore the hardest-hit communities of Altadena and Pasadena through the unifying power of food.

Our commitment to making the world work better includes helping people with limited opportunities prepare for and pursue careers. Our JointForces@ISS program in the UK supports armed forces veterans into the job market, helping bring their unique skills to a range of companies, including ISS.

Creating career opportunities for young students

How can you help young people not suited to classroom learning get the qualifications and life skills they need? In the Netherlands, ISS is addressing this issue with an on-the-job training scheme run with Accenture and PwC.

A multicultural workplace

Empowering women through decent jobs

Through ISS’s One More Smile foundation, our people in Spain and Portugal have directly impacted more than 8,500 people in developing countries by financing and supporting local NGO-led programs which facilitate access to decent work – in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

ISS’s Social Mobility Project offers a comprehensive learning and development program for frontline staff in India who come from an underprivileged and poor socioeconomic background – helping them pursue better career opportunities and stronger livelihoods.
