Corporate responsibility

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

ISS recognises that a healthy business performance is delivered in a safe environment by healthy people and through good management of processes and equipment.

As a service provider, people are at the heart of ISS’ business.

There are more than half a million ISS people serving customers across the globe.
So, the health and safety of employees is a top priority for ISS. Matters on Health, Safety, Environment & Quality are managed and governed as critical business activities by setting clear standards and targets for improvement and by setting measures and reviews on the performance.

As part of the Health, Safety, Environment & Quality focus, the aim is to reduce the Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF) and a stated goal called ‘Drive to zero'. The Health, Safety, Environment & Quality vision is to have zero accidents and this requires action from all parts of the organisation. Each year, a Group Corporate Responsibility action plan is built and distributed with actions for each country to implement.

Moreover, ISS has been part of and committed to the UN Global Compact the UNI’s 12 fundamental principles based on the International Labour Organisation's (ILO) convention.
