ISS Food Services wins International Safety Award with Distinction
ISS has been presented with an International Safety Award (ISA) 2019 with Distinction by the British Safety Council (BSC)
It was awarded to ISS Food Services – Business & Industry sector, who provide organisations with workplace catering for their customers and employees.
Safety is a top priority for ISS, who constantly work to maintain excellent health and safety standards. ISS was one of the 11% of award winners to receive a Distinction pass grade this year – click here to read more. To be acknowledged with an ISA amongst a relatively small number of organisations is a fantastic achievement for the company.
Now in their 61st year, the International Safety Awards recognise and celebrate organisations from around the world which have demonstrated, to the satisfaction of the scheme’s independent judges, their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health during the previous calendar year.
ISS Food Services – Business & Industry was also shortlisted for a Sector Award in the BSC’s annual International Safety Awards, in the Leisure, Sports Clubs, Hospitality and Catering category. ISS Facility Services – Healthcare won the award for the Health and Social Care category.
Mark Price, HSEQ Business Partner & CR Manager for ISS Food Services – Business & Industry said “I am very pleased that we have received a Distinction in this year's International Safety Awards. This achievement demonstrates ISS’ ongoing commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of our teams and customers. Well done and thank you to all of our people who work so hard every day to embed a healthy, safe and collaborative culture across the ISS Food Services business.”
Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated ISS Food Services – Business and Industry on their success in winning an International Safety Award 2019 with Distinction: “The vision of the British Safety Council is that no-one should be injured or made ill through work – anywhere in the world. Realising it requires more than legislation; people committed to health and safety, and increasingly also to workplace wellbeing, make it a reality and inspire others to create workplaces that are a key force for good. “Our warmest congratulations to the ISS Food Services Education team. All of those working at ISS should be rightly proud of their achievement.”
