Swisscom and ISS renew partnership for 5 years

ISS and Swisscom have renewed their agreement early, extending from 1 January 2019 until the end of March 2024 under a new contract model that emphasizes transparency, efficiency and innovation.
The renewed service agreement comprises 24 data centres, around 60 office buildings and more than 1,000 operational buildings with a total space of approximately 1,100,000 million m². ISS has since January 2015 been responsible for all infrastructural and technical FM services across Swisscom's entire building portfolio - data centres, business parks and a large number of office and operational buildings. ISS provides a complete range of services, from FM consulting and energy as well as environmental management through to staffing the reception desk and providing support and maintenance for building services engineering.

Mario Rossi, CFO of Swisscom, said:

"ISS has been able to convince us as a business partner in the cooperation so far, not only in terms of the service portfolio or performance, but also when it comes to strategic understanding. With ISS Switzerland as our partner, we are well positioned."

With the contract extension, both parties have agreed on a new operational model with a focus on outcome-based cooperation, in which ISS assumes additional responsibility and criteria such as transparency, efficiency and innovation will increasingly be taken into account. The service level agreement (SLA) addresses Swisscom's needs to optimally mitigate operational risks and control the resources deployed on a building-specific basis. Overall, this will lead to leaner administrative processes and more efficient interface management, increased transparency and lower costs.

André Nauer, Country Manager of ISS Switzerland, said:

"The early extension and reinforcement of the partnership impressively demonstrates how well the project management and the 700 ISS employees have proven themselves in the mandate and are working hand-in-hand with Swisscom. Whether in consulting or on the front line, the team has continuously improved the quality of the services together with the customer, increased the efficiency of the service provision and initiated innovative approaches to solutions.”

Jacob Götzsche, ISS Regional CEO of Continental Europe, said:

“Our strong partnership with Swisscom underscores the value that ISS can create in collaboration with our key account customers. We are extremely proud to extend this important relationship and look forward to support Swisscom, as a trusted business partner, in the years ahead.”
