People with disabilities are so often regarded as a single group, rather than diverse individuals who have so much to contribute. ISS is delighted to be one of 28 organisations that have signed up to Generation Valuable, The Valuable 500’s leadership up-mentoring programme for people with disabilities, which includes members based across four continents.
Generation Valuable is a programme that will offer an amazing leadership opportunity for people with disabilities to have an impact the future of the corporate C-Suite, aiming to drive disability inclusion through systematic change and revolutionise the boardrooms of tomorrow. It aims to build a community of disabled talent to share experiences and let the C-suite of today know how to make businesses more inclusive. Each Generation Valuable participant will be paired with a mentor at C-Suite level in their organisation.
Jacob Aarup-Andersen, ISS Group CEO, said: “At ISS, our business is all about our people. We have a 121-year-long history of diversity, belonging and inclusion. However, we still need to learn as an organisation, and to foster management talents from all parts of our company. The Valuable 500 Generation Valuable programme is a perfect fit for us. We believe that this mentoring programme offers a unique opportunity not only to gain insights into the challenges faced by upcoming leaders with disabilities, but also to make sure we foster a truly diverse and inclusive leadership culture. We can’t wait to get started with this great initiative.”
The Valuable 500 is a global business collective of 500 CEOs and their companies, working together to promote disability inclusion. The Valuable 500 has confirmed its first 28 members for Generation Valuable – including ISS. The list of early adopters also features EY, Deloitte, HSBC and Roche.
