ISS Partners with The Pinnacle Foundation to support LGBTIQ young people across Australia
The Pinnacle Foundation provides educational scholarships and mentoring support for young adults (17-26 years of age) across Australia, where their gender identity, sexual orientation or sexual characteristics have hindered the achievement of their career aspirations or personal development. Pinnacle’s vision is to empower young LGBTIQ+ Australians to achieve their full potential, transforming Australian society for the better.
The Foundation awards multi-year scholarships for study at Australian universities, TAFE’s and for Year 12 at high school. With the support of ISS in 2020, The Pinnacle Foundation is aiming to award 45 scholarships across the country to marginalised and disadvantaged LGBTIQ+ young people. Through its program, The Pinnacle Foundation and ISS will be helping to transform the lives of many LGBTIQ+ young Australians.
This partnership with The Pinnacle Foundation demonstrates the strength of ISS’ commitment to Inclusion & Diversity. We want ISS to be a place where everyone feels safe to express their identity, has a strong sense of belonging, and is empowered to reach their potential.
As part of this partnership, ISS will explore ways we can provide additional support, such as mentoring and vocational assistance for scholarship holders. The Pinnacle Foundation will also assist ISS with creating an internal network to support for our own LGBTIQ+ community, helping to establish a more inclusive workplace.
