ISS UK is proud to present its Corporate Responsibility 2021 report, detailing our efforts for smarter, more sustainable and more socially aware workplaces that make the world work better.

“At ISS, we are driven by our purpose: connecting people and places to make the world work better.” Liz Benison, CEO, UK and Ireland.

Over the years, ISS UK has invested in numerous schemes, innovations and operations to make its workplace, and the workplaces its people serve, better than ever.

Our 2021 Corporate Responsibility report details an exceptional year for ISS UK, sharing our achievements across employment, inclusivity, eco-friendly solutions and education. This has all been made possible by our OneISS ambition; our journey to creating a business that works closer with its customers, simplifies our corporate targets and strengthens our lead in the integrated services industry.

“We have the opportunity to add value to our customers and help them achieve their purpose by acting as a responsible business ourselves. By contributing to communities local to our customers, we strengthen the relationship, and collaboratively we can create more impact on society.” Simon Titchener, Chief Commercial Officer, ISS UK and Ireland.

Our Corporate Responsibility Strategy this year continues prioritising three key pillars, standardised by our ‘ThinkForward@ISS’ agenda: Sustainable Service Performance, Enhancing our Customers’ Purpose and People Empowerment. Already, we’ve introduced several corporate milestones including:

  • Over 1,000 hours volunteered to mentor people leaving the armed forces
  • Nearly 100 participants within the first three months of launching ‘supporting wellbeing in the workplace’ training
  • Over £250,000 raised for the Stroke Association
  • More than a third of new cars ordered in the last six months being fully electric

We’ve also reinforced our relationships within the community, partnering with such charities as the Stroke Association. We’ve won close to 25 health and safety awards through the British Safety Council and RoSPA. We’ve introduced MADE Well 2.0, a health and wellbeing programme designed to focus on the unique needs of our consumers whilst at work. All while introducing new workplace technologies that ensure productivity, safety and wellbeing for our placemakers.
