A 'Tip of the Hat' to the ISS Ireland HSEQ Team

During a virtual ceremony on Thursday, July 29th 2021 the winners were revealed to an eager audience. The standard of entries this year was so high and the results were close, the judges awarded 2nd & 3rd places across a number of categories.

Following their recent success at the Operational Excellence Awards, where the ISS team was awarded the title of “Operations Team of the Year”, the ISS Ireland HSEQ Team is now named “Health & Safety Team of the Year” for 2021, The entire team were thrilled with the win  - having placed 3rd in the 2020 awards for the same category.   

When announcing the win, the judges noted that: “With a strong work ethic and a high level of collaboration the ISS Ireland Team won over our judges, aside from the high level of professionalism shown they were impressed by the approach to Safety at all levels.” 

Elaine Wall, HSEQ Advisor graciously accepted the award on behalf of the team of her colleagues; Lisa Hughes, Lee-Ann Kelly, David Allen, and Michelle Griffin. 

Eric Doyle, Managing Director,  ISS Facility Services,  Ireland commented,“Winning 'Health & Safety Team of the Year' at the  annual Health & Safety Excellence Awards is a tribute to the dedication, drive and ambition of the entire HSEQ team and fantastic recognition for the continued improvements in our performance and culture. I also want to acknowledge and salute the massive contribution, effort, and commitment from our Operational teams and Placemakers whose participation and engagement is so vital in the successes of Health & Safety in ISS.“

The ISS Ireland HSEQ Team is led by Lisa Hughes, HSEQ Manager and winner of FM Professional of the Year 2021. Lisa and the team were also awarded 3rd place for “Health & Safety Excellence in Facilities Management”. 

Tim Proctor, Director of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Corporate Responsibility ISS UK & Ireland concluded, “The ISS H&S team in Ireland continues to go from strength to strength and as they do, they are truly engaging our workforce to accept the safety culture that we deserve. The team led by Lisa Hughes  is not only passionate about what they do but determined in their approach to make safety a core value in everything we do as a business everywhere and everytime we do it. I continue to be hugely impressed and proud of all their achievements.”
