ISS presents at Workplace Futures Conference 2018 - FM: 'Adding Value'
Workplace Futures is an annual industry event, intended to identify and help shape the future of FM
Held on the 6th February at the Crystal building in London, the event brought together a panel of expert speakers and an audience of FM leaders to tackle some of the biggest questions in FM at the moment, helping to explore the crucial role that facilities management can play in a dynamic and changing world.
This year’s theme was ‘Adding Value’ and discussed some of the most pressing issues in FM today: how do we work more positively, more collaboratively, to show innovation and to add demonstrable value and genuinely show that to not just our clients, but the wider world too.
The day sought to answer many of those questions, discussing technology, intelligence, people motivation and productivity, the power of organisational values and culture and a common theme; maximising the social impact of FM – The choices we make as organisations and individuals and the impact of those choices - on people, the community, the workplace and the world.
Neil Usher, Workplace expert insisted that no matter who or where you are, that everyone deserves a fantastic workplace. His theory of the ’12 elements of the elemental workplace’ went on to describe what that should look like and the factors that need to be considered.
Greg Daniel, Account Director for ISS, together with one of our Financial Services clients, discussed their outsourcing journey so far and how their partnership with ISS has focused on the user experience; how we capitalise on data and intelligence from employees and customers to deliver tangible value to all stakeholders.
Martin Pickard, FM industry guru opened the debate with Lucy Jeynes, FM industry figure closing at the end of a very packed day, calling on the audience for action and impact.
There was a live commentary on Twitter. See #WPFUT2018 for more posts.
