ISS Ireland wins Best People Development Award
ISS Ireland wins Best People Development at the Facilities Management Awards 2018
On Wednesday 31st January, ISS was delighted to accept the award of Best People Development at the Facilities Management Awards held in the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin. The event was attended by many of our customers, competitors and many other interested parties to the industry. Jones Lang LeSalle and Neylons Facility Management were the other companies shortlisted in this category.
Within our submission, ISS highlighted such programmes as Service with a Human Touch, First Line Manager Programme and the Key Account Manager Certification. In doing so, ISS demonstrated how our Learning and Development strategy focuses on all employees from those at the frontline to those in senior management with the aim of empowering employees and working to translate the company’s vision into action. ISS is going to be the world’s greatest service organisation and how this will happen is through facilitating our customer’s purpose through people empowerment.
Eric Doyle, Managing Director for ISS Ireland spoke of how “This award is a fantastic endorsement of the learning and development programmes ISS has in place, which support individual career progression as we evolve into a Key Accounts business.”
Rosanne Edger, People and Culture Director for ISS Ireland said: "I was delighted to accept the award on behalf of the company. The P&C team, through Kate Connellan, People and Culture Manager, works hard in organising and delivering this suite of development programmes. Getting this external accreditation drives home the hard work that happens and the commitment the company gives to delivering and participating in such programmes. It is great to have this recognised within the industry. We place our people at the fore of what we do and this is just one step in recognising this."
The Facility Management Awards launched in 2014 and is the premier awards programme for benchmarking excellence within Ireland's facility management sector. An independent panel of recognised and expert judges, representing the facilities management industry, determined the winners of the Facilities Management Awards.
In previous years ISS Ireland has won Best Security Provider and a Health and Safety Award for our Drive to 100 and Near Hit campaigns.
