ISS New Zealand partners with University of Auckland to elevate campus cleaning and sustainability
The University of Auckland has engaged ISS New Zealand to deliver a smarter, safer and more sustainable cleaning service across its City Campus.
The new contract, commencing 1 October 2025, will see ISS provide cleaning and hygiene services across Division 1 buildings – including labs, libraries, lecture theatres, student facilities and carparks – supporting more than 46,000 students and 6,500 staff.
With over 80 ISS Placemakers dedicated to the site, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating safe, clean and future-ready learning environments.
Sustainability, safety and service
The contract includes an Innovation & Sustainability Fund to drive initiatives such as battery-powered equipment, waste-reduction programs and carbon tracking. ISS’ ISO-aligned safety systems, campus-specific training and structured incident management will ensure a safe and responsive service. Digital feedback tools and flexible delivery models will enhance the experience for students and staff.
