ISS Confirmed as Major Security Provider at Brisbane Airport
ISS Facility Services has extended our security contract with Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) for a further three years. ISS has served the airport for over 20 years and will deliver exciting innovation and technology to enhance the experience of passengers and visitors to the airport.
ISS has delivered security services to Brisbane Airport since 1998. We were notified of our success in all four tendered packages, which ensures the continuation of our existing scope of security screening at the domestic and international terminals, mobile patrols and active surveillance services plus additional security services at the Northern Domestic Screening point.
Jonathan Reeves, ISS Executive General Manager – Aviation & Transport, comments: “I’m delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with Brisbane Airport. As security providers at the airport, we need to be both a safe pair of hands today at the same time as being forward thinking to ensure our security service meets the needs and threats of tomorrow. I am confident ISS will deliver on these priorities to protect all passengers, visitors and staff at Brisbane Airport.”
A key focus for ISS at Brisbane Airport over the next three years is investing in world-class technology platforms to lead the next evolution of aviation security. A new integrated mobile digital platform, called ‘Super Supervisor’ will support security supervisors with exceptional operational decision-making.
ISS also boasts industry-leading training technologies and investment in our people is a key differentiator in the marketplace. ISS’ new position as a government-approved Registered Training Organisation will allow ISS to deliver the new Screener Certification and offer nationally recognised certifications to drive greater efficiencies, control and compliance.
Providing an amazing customer experience for all passengers and visitors is at the heart of the ISS service delivery. Brisbane Airport and its partners, including ISS, have worked hard over the past few years to improve processes and the passenger experience, leading to winning the “Best Airport in Australia” Award in 2016, 2017 and 2019 at the Skytrax World Airport Awards.
ISS is a leader in the aviation industry, providing security at 4 of the 10 busiest Australian airports, screening more than 44 million passengers and 374 thousand flights a year. We also deliver a range of other facility services, including cleaning, catering, property, support and facilities management.
ISS look forward to another three years helping Brisbane Airport strengthen its position as the future gateway to Australia and one of the best airports in the world.
