ISS Ireland wins Distinction for third year running at the 2018 NISO Safety Awards
On the 12th of October ISS Ireland were awarded a Distinction for the third year running at the 27th Annual NISO Safety Awards held in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney, Co Kerry
The event was attended by Elaine Wall (pictured below) and Mairead Toomey, two members of our HSEQ Team who accepted the award on behalf of ISS Ireland. Presenting this year’s awards were Harry Galvin, President, National Irish Safety Organisation, Pat Breen, Minister for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection and John Thompson, Chairperson, Northern Ireland Safety Group.
NISO (National Irish Safety Organisation) help members develop a culture of health and safety in their workplace, assisting them in creating conditions which result in Irish workplaces being among the safest and healthiest in Europe.

Rosanne Edger, People & Culture Director for ISS Ireland said "It is a great achievement and acknowledgement of our H&S culture and initiatives which are transmitted throughout this large business, of which all of our managers and leaders, as well as our Safety Leaders and Heroes are part of. However, none of this would be possible without the strong leadership and guidance of our HSEQ team."
The award also demonstrates to those both internal and external to ISS that we as a business have a Safety Management System to be proud of, which is an integral part of our daily operations. This year’s award is testament to all the hard work that is put in by everyone in the organisation, confirming that the Health and Safety of our employees is our number one Core Value.
