International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and Information Services Group (ISG) honoured ISS as the winner of its fourth annual Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award at an event in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, on 16 February.
In addition to the award, ISG will make a cash donation of USD 5,000 in the name of ISS to its chosen charity, Fedcap, and ISS will double this donation making Fedcap the recipient of a total of USD 10,000. Debi Hamill, IAOP CEO and Harvey Gluckman, Partner, ISG Americas will present the award.
Debi Hamill, IAOP CEO, commented:
“I want to congratulate ISS on winning this award as their continued efforts and contributions have positively impacted our communities and the environment. The commitment they have shown to addressing these critical issues is a model for the entire sourcing industry.”
IAOP and ISG established the award in 2012 to recognise service provider excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility. The winner demonstrates exemplary leadership in, and ongoing commitment to, activities that foster community involvement, fair operating and labour practices, respect for human rights, attention to environmental impacts, consumer issues, and good governance.
Joseph Nazareth, Head of ISS Group Health, Safety and Environment and Corporate Responsibility, said:
“We are truly humbled to once again receiving this acknowledgement of our efforts to deliver outsourcing solutions that are of a high quality and socially responsible. ISS is all about people. It is imperative for us to ensure that our employees thrive, that teams are open and diverse, and that each and every one can return home after work safe and unharmed. This award is a great encouragement to us, and we will use it to maintain our focus on social responsibility throughout the organisation.”
ISS was selected from among applicants for the IAOP’s Global Outsourcing 100. The independent judging panel, selected from IAOP’s Corporate Social Responsibility committee, was chaired by Dr. Bill Hefley of the University of Texas at Dallas and ITSqc, LLC, and also included Ron Babin, COP, Ryerson University; Sarah Troup, Rockefeller Foundation; Mary Lewis, Sprint and Tim Hopper, Microsoft.
IAOP is the association that brings together customers, providers and advisors in a collaborative, knowledge-based environment that promotes professional and organizational development, recognition, certification and excellence to improve business service models and outcomes.
