ISS France rewarded by ExxonMobil for safety performance

ISS France has received a prestigious award from one of its most important customers, the oil major ExxonMobil, for outstanding safety performance on the refinery of Notre-Dame de Gravenchon in Le Havre. The main reason: ISS has had no accidents at the site since April 2005.
Each year, during the ceremony of the Golden Tiger, ExxonMobil rewards providers who have distinguished themselves by their exemplary conduct.  The criteria are safety, efficiency, meeting deadlines, work quality, respect for the environment and good performance on site. 

ISS also received a safety award in 2006.

Awareness is rewarded
Avi Soussan, ISS agency manager in Le Havre said:
– Safety is the key point for ExxonMobil, even more important than the job quality itself, and we are fully aligned on this priority. Our team is trained to focus on safety by raising all situations that might be dangerous.

Recently, the team spotted a railing that was loose, marked the location, and reported the problem to the customer who praised the team in return.  

One ISS employee has half of her time dedicated to safety performance and receives continuous training to meet ExxonMobil’s safety standards. Her job is then to spread best practices to ground employees, which all have been inculcated the importance of safety.  Each month, the best safety report is rewarded, i.e. the employee who gave the best safety advice gets a prize.

According to Avi Soussan, the ISS team is very happy about the ExxonMobil acknowledgement and is determined to maintain the impressive safety track record.
