ISS has been recognised for their achievements by Frost & Sullivan, a global business consultancy firm, at the company’s annual award ceremony for the Asia Pacific region. The ceremony took place in Singapore.
ISS was named the Best Facility Management Company of The Year in Asia Pacific, for the second consecutive year, and also received this year’s Growth Excellence Leadership Award.
In its motivation for the awards, Frost & Sullivan highlighted ISS’ ability to be a leader in the industry and grow in a highly fragmented market with tight competition, largely due to ISS’ ability to deliver on services using its own employees instead of sub-contractors.
Stiff regional competition
“ISS is recognised as a top facilities management provider in Asia-Pacific with their excellent service proposition that emphasises performance, demand generation, and competitive positioning,” said Janice Wung, Research Analyst for Frost & Sullivan in Asia Pacific.
“This helped ISS to become the top performing facility management provider by revenue amidst stiff regional competition. Their ability to meet the needs of their clients while implementing best-in-class strategies, allows ISS to enjoy strong overall business performance and expand their customer portfolio,” she added.
‘Recognition of our employees’
“We are indeed honoured and proud of this prestigious award,” said Thomas Hinnerskov, Regional CEO for ISS Asia Pacific, when receiving the award.
“First, it is a recognition of our employees’ dedication, service excellence and sense of purpose. I am glad that their hard work and positive attitude is acknowledged, not only by the management but also by an independent, highly competent observer. Thank you, first and foremost to each and every colleague in the region,” Hinnerskov added.
In honouring ISS for the award, Frost & Sullivan also acknowledged ISS’ ability to provide quality services consistently across the region. This “differentiates them from others and shows that the company continues to invest heavily in its core asset, which is skills and employee management,” according to the consultancy firm.
Transformation paying off
ISS was also the recipient of the Growth Excellence Leadership Award.
ISS was recognized for growing its business by double digits despite the large number of smaller, local market participants.
“ISS’ bold move with their growth strategies through transformation and alignment of their business platforms has proven to be a success with their remarkable revenue and growth rate in Asia-Pacific,” said Janice Wung of Frost & Sullivan.
“In addition, ISS stood out from their competitors with the continuous expansion of their service and customer portfolio. This resulted in significant achievement for growth diversification and business sustainability for the company. As ISS continues to thrive on growth strategies, the company will continue to deliver optimal customer value in the long run,” Wung added.
Once again, Thomas Hinnerskov, ISS’ CEO of the Asia Pacific region, thanked the employees of ISS as well as Frost & Sullivan and underlined his commitment to keep growing with his customers across the region.
Investing in growth
In recent years, ISS has invested in growing its portfolio of both regional and global corporate clients, which accounted for an increasing share of the company’s revenue – and with attractive profit margins, as the award selection committee pointed out.
Last, but not least, ISS’ integrated facilities service offering (IFS) is greatly appreciated by its customers in the Asia Pacific region with an increasing number of customers engaging ISS for IFS implementation.
