Copenhagen 17 October 2006 - Today, ISS A/S announced a
number of appointments and changes to its management at ISS Head Office in
Copenhagen and at ISS Finland.
Going forward, the top management of the
ISS Group will be the Executive Group Management, which
consists of Group CEO Jørgen Lindegaard, Group COO Flemming Schandorff and Group
CFO Jeff Gravenhorst. The Treasury department has been merged with the Finance
department under Group CFO Jeff Gravenhorst.
Martin Gaarn Thomsen (35)
and Jacob Götzsche (38) have both been appointed new COO's at ISS Head Office.
ISS Asia is growing fast following recent acquisitions in countries like
India, mainland China and Hong Kong. In Central and Eastern Europe, ISS has e.g.
entered and expanded in another important growth market, Turkey. Martin Gaarn
Thomsen and Jacob Götzsche have contributed significantly to the growth and
development of ISS in Asia and Central and Eastern Europe, respectively.
COO Martin Gaarn Thomsen and COO Jacob Götzsche will join the
Operational Board, which in addition to the Executive Group
Management, includes COO Stig Pastwa, COO Allan Aebischer and Head of Group
M&A, Jens Ebbe Olesen.
Hans John Øiestad (51) has been appointed new
Country Manager for ISS Finland. In his career with ISS, Hans John has made
valuable contributions as Country Manager for ISS Sweden and as COO at ISS Head
Office.
Thorbjørn Graarud (53) has been appointed to a new position at
ISS Head Office as Chief Strategy and Development Officer (CSDO). Thorbjørn has
a longstanding expertise with the development of services and business
operations for ISS. Thorbjørn will build and run the new global Corporate
Strategy and Development Department, which is responsible for IFS
Implementation, IFS Competence centre, International Clients, Procurement and
Corporate Marketing.
Thorbjørn Graarud is a member of the ISS
Management Team, which in addition to the Executive Group Management
and the Operational Board includes Head of Group Human Capital Helle Havgaard,
Head of Group IT Henrik Trepka, Group Treasurer Christian Kofoed Jakobsen, Head
of Group Legal Bjørn Raasteen and Group Commercial Director Lars Folkmann.
Finally, effective as of 1 January 2007, the activities and employees of
ISS Management A/S will be transferred to ISS A/S.
