The ISS Group is now entering Central America through the acquisition of two cleaning companies in Mexico. The acquisitions immediately give ISS a leading position in the Mexican cleaning industry adding 10,000 employees to the Group's global workforce.

Copenhagen, 9 May 2006 - Today, the ISS Group announced that it is now establishing operations in Mexico. Mexico is the first country for ISS in Central America.

ISS has acquired two of the leading cleaning companies in the country. San Rafael S.A. de C.V. and Tap New S.A. de C.V.

"There are several objectives behind entering the Mexican market through two simultaneous acquisitions. The acquisition of San Rafael instantly provides national coverage and market leadership in the cleaning segment. Furthermore, Tap New's maintenance knowledge complements the overall portfolio and is a first local step towards the IFS concept as outlined in our Group strategy, Route 101", said Eric Rylberg, CEO of ISS Management A/S.

Following this combined take-over, ISS in Mexico will have annual revenues of around DKK 310 million and more than 10,000 employees in 17 locations nationwide.

"From a strategic point of view, we consider Mexico an important place to be. Mexico is among the top 15 economies of the world and second only to Brazil in Latin America. Mexico has great potential for Facility Services, and being in Mexico will furthermore give ISS a solid geographical platform in the region", said Stig Pastwa, COO for Latin America at ISS Management A/S.
San Rafael is Mexico's largest company in the general cleaning segment. It is known for professional services at competitive prices and an experienced operational management and workforce. The customer portfolio includes a number of major banks and service companies. San Rafael has built a solid platform to support its services throughout Mexico.
Tap New is also among the top 5 cleaning companies in Mexico, with a slightly broader range of service offerings, comprising of window cleaning, speciality cleaning and minor maintenance services. Geographical coverage has been concentrated to the 3 largest cities in Mexico.

ISS will be operating with head office in Mexico City. Claus E. Madsen, until now Country Manager for ISS in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, has taken on the role as new Country Manager for ISS in Mexico.
