ISS has bought the cleaning company Lyon y Compañia
Ltda. in Chile. The acquisition means that ISS will double its business in
Chile, as the company becomes the country's biggest supplier of cleaning
services. A new Country Manager will be heading ISS Chile.
Copenhagen, 21 April, 2006 - The ISS
Group has announced that it has acquired the Chilean cleaning company Lyon y
Compañia Ltda. based in Santiago, the capital of Chile.
The acquisition
will double ISS' business in Chile from approximately DKK 60 million to DKK 120
million in annual revenue. The workforce will grow from 2,400 to 4,500
employees:
"Lyon y Compañia is a well-run family-owned business with a
good reputation especially among its many retail customers and a good organic
growth track record. ISS will not only double its business in Chile, but will
also obtain a strong position in Santiago, which is where half of Chile's
economy is", said Stig Pastwa, COO for Latin America at ISS Management A/S.
Following the take-over of Lyon, ISS will consolidate its country
operation in Chile by moving its head office from Concepción to Santiago.
Furthermore, ISS Chile, which has so far been managed from ISS Argentina, now
has its own locally based country manager.

announce that Mr Miguel Galmes has agreed to take up the position as Country
Manager of ISS Chile. Miguel is 38 years old and has worked with a number of
international service companies and most recently as General Manager for an
international security company in Chile," said Stig
