Today, ISS announced that Jørgen Lindegaard has been appointed new CEO of ISS Management A/S, succeeding Eric Rylberg, who has been with ISS since 1997 and CEO since August 2000. Jørgen Lindegaard is also taking up the positions as CEO of the ISS holding companies1.

Chairman, Leif Östling, stated: “We appreciate the very significant contributions Eric made during his 9 years with ISS. He helped the company focus on several important areas of its business, in particular he was key in the development of the Integrated Facilities Services strategy and has
successfully managed the transition from a public to private company. Eric has decided to retire from ISS and I wish him the best of luck in the future”.

Jørgen Lindegaard is a board member of ISS and was formerly CEO of SAS Group. He is taking up the CEO position of ISS immediately.

Leif Östling, the chairman, said: “Jørgen is the right person to take ISS through its next phase of growth; he has significant experience in running large companies in the service sector and a very strong track record”.

Jørgen Lindegaard said “ISS is one of the most successful global service companies, with an impressive historical performance and I am delighted to have been appointed CEO. I look forward to continuing to build the company based on the existing strategy plan "Route 101” together with its people around the world”.

Jørgen Lindegaard, age 57, has previously been CEO of KTAS, GN Great Nordic and SAS Group.

ISS also announced that Sir Francis Mackay will be elected to the board of directors of the ISS companies2 to replace Jørgen Lindegaard and that he will be appointed vice chairman. Sir Francis Mackay retired end of July this year as chairman of Compass Group, the leading international catering company, having managed the company throughout its expansion from a €375 million sales, UK business in 1991 to its present position with in excess of €18 billion of sales globally.

Leif Östling commented: “Based on the success of ISS we have been able to attract to the board someone with considerable international service expertise like Sir Francis. I am convinced that he will be able to contribute significantly to the further development of the group”.
