SAS and ISS in discussion about ISS taking on SGS Finland's ground services
In conjunction with the launch of the new governance structure the SAS Group have started the negotiations with ISS Finland about ISS’ taking on SGS Finland’s ground services.
SGS Finland is the second largest company providing ground services in Finland and operates at seven airports across the country. SGS Finland currently offers a comprehensive range of aviation services within passenger handling, ticket office, aircraft services, ramp handling, business lounge, emergency handling, supervision and irregularity services. SGS Finland employs 295 people of which 253 are working at Helsinki-Vantaa airport.
ISS has extensive knowledge of providing support services to the airline companies and is committed to the long term future of developing personnel rich services for the needs of airline business. Therefore, investing in ground services is a logical next step for ISS.
