The team behind the annual report: Søren Israelsen, CFO Jakob Stausholm, Pernille Benborg, Hanne Radich Hoffman and Peter Harder Thomsen.

Last night ISS won the award for the best 2008 annual report for unlisted companies.

The honour was awarded to ISS by The Danish Nasdaq OMX Stock Exchange in collaboration with the leading Danish business newspaper Børsen.

The Chairman of the award committee, Eskild Nørregaard Jakobsen from Deloitte, offered the following reasons for giving the award to ISS:

  • ISS has created an annual report of high quality, which is structured in a logical manner and fully lives up to the international standard of the listed companies in the OMXC20 index (the 20 most frequently traded shares in Denmark).
  • The presentation of the strategy "The ISS Way" offers a good overview and a good description to understand ISS's goals and business model.
  • The information about ISS's acquisitions and divestments of companies as well as impairment testing of intangible assets is extensive and well presented.
  • The description of ISS's capital structure is very relevant and of a high quality.

Eskild Nørregaard Jakobsen presented the award to ISS's CFO Jakob Stausholm, who had the following reaction to the prestigous honour:

"We in ISS aim high in all professional manners, hence it is a great recognition that independent experts see us as being 'best in class' in terms of transparency and quality of our financial disclosures. I believe that ISS is the first company owned by capital funds to win such an award. This makes it a special kind of victory, because companies with capital fund owners are often accused of being closed and less transparent. We don't see that and this award to ISS from the independent experts proves otherwise!"
