ISS expands its activities in Asia with the acquisition of ‘Inbuilt’ in Singapore. Inbuilt is a technical maintenance specialist.
Copenhagen , 23 May 2008 – ISS is expanding its activities in Asia through the acquisition of Inbuilt, a well renowned supplier of Integrated Facility Management including mechanical, electrical and building maintenance, re-lamping and streetlight maintenance.
“ISS will get a number of exciting new competencies and tasks when we enlarge our business with Inbuilt’s services, e.g. we will be responsible for maintaining half of all the streetlights in Singapore. ISS Singapore will now be able to offer the customers the entire facility services package that they have been asking for. This strengthens our position as the leading supplier of integrated facility services,” says Martin Gaarn Thomsen, COO Asia & Pacific, ISS A/S.
This acquisition will open up for many cross selling opportunities, especially within the hospital sector where ISS is serving approximately 80% of the hospitals in Singapore.
Inbuilt focuses on commercial buildings, public institutions and hospitals. The company had revenue of DKK 75 mio. in 2007 and 300 well educated employees.
With the acquisition of Inbuilt, ISS Singapore will have more than doublet revenue via organic growth and acquisitions in just three years.
