Today, ISS Holding A/S announced annual results for 2007 .

Copenhagen , 28 February 2007 – Today, ISS Holding A/S announced annual results for 2007 and they show growth in all regions of Denmark’s second largest company.

Revenue increased by 15% in 2007 compared with 2006 and reached DKK 64 billion. Operating profit before other items increased 19% to DKK 3.8 billion compared with DKK 3.2 billion in 2006.

The operating margin was up from 5.8% in 2006 to 6.0% in 2007, while organic growth rose from 5.5% to 6.0%.

Group CEO Jørgen Lindegaard had the following comments to the 2007 results:

“2007 was another very good year for ISS. The growth of ISS is both significant and stable. Our businesses around the world are continuously improving their profitability while at the same time investing in new businesses, which broaden the service offering to our customers,” said Jørgen Lindegaard.

Both ISS’ top line and bottom line grew significantly in 2007 and the organic growth was strong in most markets, especially in the high growth markets in Central and Eastern Europe (16%), in Asia (19%) and in Latin America (15%).

The increase in the operating margin to 6.0% is a result of ISS’ focus on profitable growth.

The revenue from acquisitions also contributed to growth. ISS made 67 acquisitions during 2007 and the USA was added to the list of now 50 ISS countries in the world.

“2007 was also the year we entered the USA through the acquisition of the US company Sanitors, which is a provider of cleaning and other Facility Services all over the USA. It is an important strategic milestone for ISS, because ISS must of course be present in the US market in order to be the leading Facility Services provider in the world,” Jørgen Lindegaard added.

The net loss for 2007 was DKK (442) million compared with DKK (809) million in 2006. The result was positively impacted by an improvement in the operating profit before other items of DKK 601 million. The result was negatively impacted by increased finance costs, including one-off finance charges following the refinancing of a portion of the Group’s existing debt. The purpose of the refinancing was to optimise the Group’s funding structure, thereby reducing the average cost of debt and to raise additional funding to support continued acquisitions and organic growth initiatives.

At the end of the year, the number of employees in ISS had increased from 391,000 (2006) to more than 438,000 worldwide.
