ISS Elects New Chairman of Board of Directors

ISS, one of the world’s largest Facility Service Groups, has convened an extraordinary General Meeting to further strengthen its Board of Directors by electing Leif Östling as new Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Leif Östling steps in today as Chairman of ISS A/S, ISS Global A/S and certain other ISS companies located at the ISS Head Office in Bredgade 30, Copenhagen.
Leif Östling is currently President and Group Chief Executive of Scania AB. Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Östling said:

Leif Östling came to Scania, a leading manufacturer of trucks and related services, in 1972 and in 1977 was appointed head of Strategic Planning. From 1981 to 1983, he was Marketing Manager for Scania in the Netherlands. In 1983, Leif Östling took over as President of Scania Nederland, a position he held until 1988.
In 1988, Leif Östling was appointed acting manager of the Scania Division, with responsibility for Scania's operations in South America, and in 1989 he took over full formal responsibility for the Scania Division. With the creation of an independent Scania corporation on 1 January 1994, Leif Östling was appointed President and CEO for the newly formed company.
Leif Östling is a member of the Board of Scania AB, AB SKF, Svenskt Näringsliv and Teknikföretagen. In addition, Leif Östling has also served as Chairman of the Board of the Danish company Sabroe Refrigeration which was previously owned by EQT.
Christian Sinding, partner in EQT, steps down from the Board of Directors of ISS A/S, ISS Global A/S and certain other ISS companies located in Bredgade 30, and is elected alternate Board member. Edward de Nor of Goldman Sachs PIA is also elected alternate Board member.
