ISS awards grant to economics student
ISS awards an economics student a grant to study at Cornell University in the United States.
ISS awarded its annual ISS A/S Denmark-America Foundation grant to economics student Svend Greniman Andersen from the University of Copenhagen. The Grant is for DKK 100,000 ($16,500) and will help Svend spend one year studying at Cornell University in New York.
ISS Group Marketing Director Peter Ankerstjerne presented the grant to Svend Greniman Andersen at a ceremony in Copenhagen on June 22, 2010.
“Svend has a very impressive academic background, primarily from the University of Copenhagen, where he is among the top one percent of economics students," says Peter Ankerstjerne. "He also has some very interesting extra curricular activities, among them working as a teacher at the Cathay Future Children’s Art Center in China. Cornell, a highly esteemed American University, is a fantastic choice, and I am pleased to be able to help Svend pursue his studies there.”
Apart from having outstanding academic credentials, Svend is also a skilled badminton player and symphony orchestra violinist. ISS is keen to hear how Svend develops in both his academic and leisure-time pursuits.
