ISS creates centre for diversity
Copenhagen, 18 June 2009 - ISS Denmark has established a Centre for Diversity. Over the next four years 300 employees with a non-Danish ethnic background will receive management training at the Centre. The ambition is in accordance with ambitions recently expressed by both the Danish Government and employer and employee organizations to increase the amount of adult education. Approximately 40 per cent of ISS’ work force has a non-Danish ethnic background but only five per cent of management, which is unsatisfactory.
The establishment of the Centre was an explicit part of the reason why ISS Denmark in December 2007 was presented with the Copenhagen Municipality prize for the promotion of diversity in management.
