ISS at IFMA 2010
ISS supported IFMA World Workplace 2010, which took place 27-29 October 2010, Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, US.
IFMA’s World Workplace Conference & Expo is a great opportunity to connect with new and existing customers, members of the professional community, discover trends and best practices for managing, operating and handling the workplace.
ISS is a proud sponsor of IFMA World Workplace. ISS’ support of IFMA helps to further develop the Facility Management (FM) industry, realise our vision to “Lead Facility Services globally” and in general demonstrate our commitment and support in advancing the Facility Management profession.
For the third consecutive year, ISS was one of the main sponsors of World Workplace conference and hosted the Awards of Excellence Banquet.
The ISS Way
This year ISS had designed a large booth for the expo area where existing and potential customers from all over the world could get an introduction to ISS, our services and how we manage Facility Management – The ISS Way. Visitors had the opportunity to meet not only our national representatives from US and our Corporate Clients team, but also representatives from ISS Nordic, ISS Denmark and ISS Brazil to discuss possible future FM solutions.
Three days of industry trends and knowledge sharing
Workplace professionals from around the world met each other during the three days and analysed the trends and service requirements impacting today’s FM environment during the event. Those who combine know-who with know-how offer better value to their organisations and the ability to call on colleagues for advice, information and support is priceless.
On the final day of the conference, 29 October, Group Marketing Manager of ISS, Palle Esbensen, Director of Facility Service Programs of ISSA, Dan Wagner, and AVP Sustainability Solutions of Diversey Inc., Rob Kohlhagen, hosted an educational session; “Is your Green Cleaning Program Really Green or is it Blue?”. The session covered the latest IFMA Foundation Guide on Sustainable Global Green Cleaning Practices. Sales Director of ISS Corporate Clients, APAC, Dean Campbell, also hosted a session on “How to manage FM Across Borders”.
As a perfect ending to a week dedicated to professional growth and the entire FM community, the Awards Banquet recognized those who had made considerable contributions to the development of the facility management profession and to the Association during 2010. ISS sponsored this excellent evening.
At the Awards of Excellence Banquet, Country Manager Sean Bond, ISS US gave a speech on the current market situation from an FM perspective and why it is important to continue to work with Service Excellence and to acknowledge the value of true service professionals, stating;
“We can’t ignore the economic challenges that we are all facing right now; in fact, the importance of providing only the highest level of service to your facilities has never been more vital” and “In our efforts to make your facilities more efficient, effective, and sustainable, we focus all of our attention on the value of service excellence and the personal touch.”
