Chefs from ISS Israel’s catering division won two gold medals and a silver medal at the International Kremlin Culinary Cup 2007 in Moscow.
The team won the gold medal in the “Designing a Culinary Table” category, beating the Italian and the South Korean team, which won the silver and bronze medal respectively.
Chef Hai Schwartz from ISS Israel took the gold medal in the dessert category for his “Dessert Trio”. He triumphed over 20 contestants in the category. According to the international jury, the dish won the gold medal for its originality and exceptional design.
Also, chef Rami Nissim won a silver medal in the beef entrée category for his “Beef and Chicken Duet”.
The ISS team from Israel is the first Israeli team in the history of catering to take part in an international competition.
More than 300 chefs from all over the world took part in the competition, which took place in Moscow on October 3-6, 2007.
