Swedish Power Plant chooses ISS / Archive - News Stories - ISSISS has won a large Facility Services contract at the Swedish power plant, Forsmark Kraftgrupp. The contract runs five years from January 2006 and is worth around DKK 500 million. The contract is to date one of the largest and most complex service assignments in the growing Facility Management market in Sweden. It involves several services from hotel, restaurant and conference services, building maintenance and property services, to decontamination.

Forsmark Power Plant, part of the Vattenfall group, is situated on Sweden's east coast in Uppsala County. Each year it produces about 20 - 25 billion kWh, which corresponds to one-sixth of Sweden's total electricity generation. The around 100 service employees at Forsmark will be transferred to ISS.

"This is a very important assignment for ISS Facility Services, also in an international perspective. We greatly respect the assignment, but we are also confident that we have the required competences and experience. We can therefore guarantee Forsmark simplicity and trouble-free work days the next five years," says Hans John Ă˜iestad, VD ISS Facility Services AB.
