ISS Singapore has won "The 2005 Building & Services Company of the Year Award” amidst keen competition from reputable Asian competitors. ISS was the only company from Singapore to make it to the finals of the Asian Cleaning Awards.

The award recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions to the cleaning industry and is organised by “Clean Asia”, a renowned publication for the cleaning and sanitary industry in Asia .

In the Award’s citation, ISS grew from a $10m company in 1995 to $87m in 2004 and provides employment to more than 4,000 Singaporeans. ISS was praised for its innovative 2-in-1 mopping system introduced into the healthcare industry and use of IT in quality checks. Furthermore, its efforts in championing training of cleaners have elevated the image of the cleaning industry.   

ISS now embarks on its initiative to transform single-skilled cleaners into multi-skilled facility services specialists. For this effort, ISS has - as the first company in the industry - been given a job recreation grant by the government in Singapore .
