ISS Facility Services A/S in Denmark has just signed a prestigious contract with Denmark ’s oldest and largest electronic media corporation, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR).

The annual value of the contract is counted in two-digit million Danish Kroner (DKK).

”We are very satisfied with this new, big contract with DR. DR is the leading broadcasting corporation in Denmark, and the new head quarters, DR Byen (the DR City), is an impressive project and will be an exciting “house” to work in for the employees and to experience for visitors.

ISS will obviously do its best to help give all users a great experience in DR Byen and to take proper care of the new facilities there. Therefore, it is an advantage that ISS is involved from the beginning and can offer advice on, how the service needs of DR Byen can be met in the best possible way,” says Commercial Director, Lars Folkmann, ISS Facility Services A/S.

The contract covers a series of services related to the operation of DR’s new facilities in Ørestad close to Copenhagen . The services include catering, cleaning, window polishing, waste management, fire prevention and security.

During 2006, DR will move all its activities to the new head quarters, which cover an area corresponding to four football fields.

In a press release from DR, Resource Director Bent Fjord said:

“DR wanted to enter a new and connected service concept for DR Byen, and with this solution we believe to have found a service partner in ISS, who has great understanding for and professional qualifications in the assignments, we wanted solved. By choosing a supplier as ISS, we hope to gain synergies, which will make our services both more effective and better”.
