The Dutch village of Oosterbeek has been awarded gold in the European horticultural competition Entente Florale 2005, partly thanks to ISS Landscaping Services.

Now Oosterbeek can call itself 'Europe's greenest village 2005'. ISS Landscaping Services has been responsible for maintaining the greenery in Oosterbeek since last year.

The jury was particularly impressed by the large number of attractive green areas in Oosterbeek and singled out for praise the natural and ecological landscape and park management in the area. The municipality of Renkum has clearly demonstrated how to convert green policy into action.

Last year, already, Oosterbeek was awarded the title of the greenest village in the Netherlands, beating off as many as 80 other villages and towns around the country.
