May 2003, ISS signed a pan-European agreement with
CSC (Computer Science Corporation) to provide Facility Services at a number of
CSC sites throughout Europe. The roll-out is well underway in a number of
countries, as is demonstrated by ISS Germany.
One year down the road, ISS supplies services such as access control, window
cleaning, office support, reception services, general and specialized cleaning
at 22 different CSC sites in Germany. And catering and other services are in the
pipeline.
Frank Mattner, Manager at ISS Germany is pleased with the new customer:
“CSC is an innovative company, and they know what to demand from outsourcing.
Our prime objective is to optimise the existing services and develop new ones as
well. We want to enable CSC to focus on their own core competencies”, says Mr.
Mattner.
One of the new initiatives has been to assign an employee to deliver ad-hoc
services during normal office hours. “Anytime during the day he can be buzzed
and asked to pick up whatever tasks are required. This kind of flexibility is
important for CSC”, explains Monica Teppert, the ISS manager at the CSC head
office in Wiesbaden.
50 ISS employees currently work at CSC premises in Germany. About half of
these are employed at the office in Wiesbaden.
