Description
Volkswagen has been manufacturing cars in Brussels since 1949.
A major restructuring took place in 2007, when Volkswagen pulled out to be replaced by Audi. Since 2010 the 540,000 sq.m. site is dedicated to the production of the A1, a huge commercial success by any measure.
Bodywork, paint shop and assembly line are all on-site. The state-of-the
art logistical centre, “Automotive Park”, with its just-in-time processes, drives the production chain; no less than 520 cars are produced daily.
