1983-1993
Healthy growth
ISS' strong international expansion in the 1970s
was followed by the consolidation of its international
market positions in the 1980s. Organic growth
and profitability were the primary objectives.
ISS waited until the end of the decade before
the next serious round of acquisitions.
A partnership programme for all employees set
new standards for ensuring employee satisfaction
and loyalty. And the development of new services,
for example in the health care sector, was stepped
up. Finally, European public opinion began to
soften towards the idea of outsourcing public
contracts.

The ISS Partner Programme was born from the desire
to improve employee development opportunities. Employee
shares were a key element. |
