The cleaning worker

"I have had a really amusing idea! We're going to start a cleaning firm!"

These were the words of the security firm's managing director, Philip Sørensen. And so Det Danske Rengøringsselskab (The Danish Cleaning Company) was established in 1934. This was the beginning of what turned out to become one of the largest cleaning firms and the first step towards Facility Services. The cleaning firm's first decade was turbulent. The German occupation of Denmark brought hard times. The Chairman of the Board, C.L. David, who was Jewish, was forced to flee to Sweden.
