ISS Netherlands wins innovation award

ISS Netherlands wins innovation award
ISS Netherlands has won the 2012 ‘Business at Your Fingertips Award’ for the development of an app that helps the facility services workforce do an even better job.

The ‘Business at Your Fingertips Award’ was presented by the consortium of SAP, T-Mobile and Magnus TopForce to the organisation with the best idea for an intelligent mobile app.

The ISS team came up with an app that helps the facility services workforce do their jobs better, more efficient and better meet facility requirements. The jury praised the innovative scenario of ISS that besides mobile technology and Business Intelligence also uses smart sensors and augmented reality. The solution will now be implemented and customized by SAP, T-Mobile and Magnus TopForce. ISS gets SAP licenses and six iPads.

In total, the jury nominated seven organizations. In addition to ISS, PPG, Incentro, Bayer, Pfizer, the province of North Brabant and Florence were nominated for the award. Over thirty companies had an idea for a mobile app submitted.

Dennis Leerentveld, Manager ICT Shared Services in ISS Netherlands, said:
– Driven by new technological developments there will be an innovation boost taking place within facility services. These new technologies are changing the way of professional Facility Management and the service industry. Some key factors which will influence the development of our industry, outside the nano, bio and other material technologies, are information and communication technologies. By winning this award ISS is clearly taking the lead position in the Facility Service market and is offering services that are ready for future customer requirements.
