ISS Netherlands wins Golden Service Award
ISS' Cure & Care division in The Netherlands wins a Golden Service Award for being the best learning company.
The Golden Service award for being the best learning company was presented to ISS on February 3 for its ISS Focus Care Support. ISS won first place because of its close collaboration with nursing staff at the Waterland Hospital in Pumerend, near Amsterdam.
- We do everything to ensure that patients and clients feel welcome, said Jan Kreeft, Managing Director, ISS Cure & Care.
- That’s why I’m proud the award for the best learning company went to ISS Focus Care Support. The training our staff receives is not only an enriching experience for them it also represents an exceptional concept in healthcare and signifies a new dimension in the cleaning sector, he continues.
Since 1995 ISS Cure & Care has provided cleaning services at Waterland Hospital. Early on ISS noticed that several employees were capable of doing more than just cleaning activities and in a number of hospital wards some of them were already performing related responsibilities. As a result, the Focus Care Support concept was developed and the hospital worked together with ISS Cure & Care to implement it.
ISS Focus Care Support
ISS Focus Care Support includes a diversity of facility activities such as household duties and logistics. This allows nursing staff to be more focused on their primary duty of taking care of the patient, while ISS employees can handle secondary processes concerning care around the patient.
ISS Cure & Care is responsible for all IFS soft facilities in this hospital. A total of 80 ISS Focus Care Support employees work as hospitality employees around the patient’s bed.
