ISS Philippines celebrates one year of no Lost Time Incidents
In connection with the launch of ISS Safety Rules one year ago, ISS Philippines decided to make an effort to reduce LTI (Lost Time Incidents) at ISS customer Shell in the Philippines – now they are celebrating achieving their goal of no LTI for one year.
More than 530,000 people are currently employed by ISS, so it’s clear that people are at the very center of the ISS business. And the health and safety of these people are of the utmost importance to ISS. When ISS launched the ISS Safety Rules last September, ISS Philippines set out to reach a goal of having no LTI (Lost Time Incidents) for the next year at ISS customer Shell in the Philippines.
– We are very happy to announce that on September 1, 2011, we reached our goal of one year zero LTI at Shell Petroleum Corporation here in the Philippines. This means that our operations in the Philippines with the Shell contract has been carried out without any Lost Time Incidents. This is a great milestone for the team and we have also received praise from our client who were present for the one year celebration. Shell commended the ISS team on their proactiveness and having high standards of work compentency and awareness towards safety. And I must thank HSE officer Albert Alano and Safety Officer Dayo Manalo at ISS for their dedication to driving safety in our operations, said Judy D. Carmona, ISS Contract Manager at Shell.
As ISS continues the journey to improve performance within health and safety, ISS will continue to be ambitious and vigilant on unsafe acts and conditions that can harm ISS employees. ISS is also appreciative to Shell on their encouragement and their support of ISS’ efforts.
