As a service company we are in essence what our people say and do. Our employees hold the key to our vision of leading Facility Services globally, and their expertise and commitment are our main source of competitive advantage.

Our people strategy is informed by the service profit chain philosophy. We appreciate that to build customer loyalty and profitability we must start by providing the best possible conditions for our employees. Only when they thrive, develop and take action can we succeed as a business.

Attraction
We sell outsourcing by insourcing the right people. As an employer of choice we want to offer the industry's most exciting opportunities for managers, experts and service staff alike. We do this by offering best-in-class working conditions, systematic development, rewards and opportunities and by fostering a strong entrepreneurial culture that makes every individual count.

Development
Investing in training and development is increasingly critical as ISS grows and offers a widening range of integrated facility services. Training and development are an integral part of daily operations. It takes place on the job, at local training facilities, through ISS Academy and centrally at the ISS University. Training covers anything from induction training to a Corporate MBA. To be effective and inspiring training is closely linked to individual development needs, on the job practice and opportunities within ISS.

License to act
A shared understanding of goals and values, and a high level of transparency help us delegate responsibility. As a decentralised organisation we encourage each individual employee to assume responsibility and take action. This is felt at every level of the organisation to the benefit of the company and its customers.

Reward and opportunity
