The ambition of ISS is to lead the market for Facility Services globally. This is realized through our strong local country organisations that operate in the markets where ISS is currently present – thereby we naturally also seek to lead Facility Services locally. Through an in-depth understanding of the service provisions and outsourcing trends and developments in our target markets ISS has developed its organisational structure around the ability to offer bundled services and to integrate and manage the provision of services at our customer’s premises.> More details Today, ISS is present in 50 countries across 5 continents employing close to 500.000 people. A company of this magnitude requires a structure which can meet our strategic objectives whilst at the same time maintain a strong local entrepreneurship and accountability. Local motivation is an important driver in the success of ISS. This is emphasised by strong local incentives and freedom to perform according to local market conditions. Each country operates on local initiative and control, developing the local business according to market demand and in alignment with the principles stated in our operating model – the ISS Value Chain. The country organisations are responsible for meeting the demands of national customers, and Regional Management supports the countries in the key competence areas. Thereby we can leverage our regional strengths by inspiring countries with similar cultures and market situations to work closely together. For international contracts we combine this with a cross border management structure that allow for service optimisation and benchmarking. To support the local business units ISS has established a number of international forums and excellence centres. These institutions are responsible for implementing, supporting and following up the development and sharing of best practices as well as educating and training the organisation via the ISS University and the ISS Academies.
