Contractual development processes

The ultimate goal of the purchasing process is to close the deal at the best conditions possible, which in the Contract Lifecycle terminology is called the Contractual Development Processes. A risk assessment and negotiation phase describes and defines the ISS groups´ standards and best practises for the processes required when entering into new customer contracts and the renewal of existing ones.

The contractual development process framework has been developed based on experience from the ISS countries with due respect for the ISS Code of Conduct, the ISS Competition Guidelines, the ISS Anti-Corruption Guidelines and the ISS Corporate Governance Guidelines.

The framework gives an overview of and provides detailed descriptions of what is needed to manage the negotiation of a customer contract effectively. How this is done in practise is a local decision, leaving room for local adaptation and adjustments. The framework includes tools, guidelines and templates, which can be used directly in the specific organisation, following adoption to the specific business platform.
